Planning Permission Granted for Temporary Accommodation Schemes in Northampton

The planning approvals mark an important step in delivering much-needed, high-quality temporary accommodation for West Northamptonshire Council. The sites at Weston Favell and Edgar Mobbs Way, Northampton, will provide a total of 108 modular, relocatable homes for people experiencing homelessness.

Both schemes were carefully designed to provide safe, functional temporary accommodation while respecting the surrounding environment.

The Weston Favell proposals include a community hub, play area, landscaped amenity spaces, cycle storage, parking and supporting infrastructure alongside the accommodation units. By regenerating a long-vacant, overgrown and underused site, the scheme will transform the area into an attractive, secure and community-focused environment. ADM Surveyors played a key role in ensuring that the proposals aligned with local planning policy, addressed ecological and transport considerations, and responded effectively to feedback from planning officers.

Similarly, the Edgar Mobbs Way development was shaped through a collaborative approach, balancing the urgent need for temporary accommodation with design quality and site constraints. In both cases, ADM Surveyors worked proactively to resolve planning issues and demonstrate the suitability of the proposals.
